WP&B helps Wieden+Kennedy realize their vision for their Stitched exhibit
Recently, Wieden+Kennedy used Gigapan technology to create a gigapixel image of the Nike Foamposite One “Sharpie” and Penny 6 pack shoes. Usually this photographic process is used to create gigapixel shots of city landscapes and outer space. Wieden+Kennedy wanted to show the incredible detail and resolution that can be achieved using this technology. There are 4,972 individual images that were stitched together to make the final image.
We used the high resolution HP Latex 360 printer to print panels and install them on Wieden+Kennedy’s 16’10” x 34’5” gallery wall. The amount of detail captured and represented in the print are unlike anything printed at this size. The following is a time lapse movie of the installation.
“Big moments are often made by many smaller ones” is the driving conceptual force behind the show and the thread connecting the labor intensive Gigapan process to Hardaway’s storied career. The show is an example of how dedication to combining craft and technology can lead to innovative, beautiful experiences. We are proud to work with Wieden+Kennedy on this project. For additional information please follow the links to Wieden+Kennedy and Gigapan.
In observance of Independence Day our offices will be closed on Friday – Sunday, July 3 – 5. We hope you and your families enjoy the holiday.

WP&B is excited to announce its recent acquisition of an HP Latex 360. With the HP Latex 360, we are improving our large format color imaging with the following capabilities:
The HP Latex 360 has a new print optimizer that provides a higher quality image and improves print speed.
With the new curing system and onboard calibration we now have a larger variety of media that we can print on including mesh and textiles.
The printer has a built in spectrophotometer which provides improved color consistency.

WP&B Working With Nibs and Greens
We have been working with Nibs and Greens on package labeling. This is a two step process wherein we print their packing information on high quality label material and then kiss-cut each label on our Zünd digital cutter. The labels are available in both clear and opaque. Here are two images of their labels on their products.
Use the contact form to learn more about this process and make certain to check out Nibs and Green’s products on their website http://www.nibsandgreens.com.

WP&B Working With Become Co.
We have been working with Paul Williams of Become Company on some great applications for his clients. Here, Become Company had us print directly onto aluminum panels which they then mounted onto a wood frame. This is for a Formula 1 race in Austin Texas.

What should the resolution for my image or graphic be?
Resolution should be set at 300 dpi. Image quality is very important in how graphics will reproduce. FYI, Graphics pulled from the internet tend to be 72 dpi and reproduce very poorly. Avoid using those graphics because they will look pixelated when printed. Read More
Do you prefer RGB or CMYK?
If possible, save all graphics in CMYK mode. RGB do not typically print as true to color as CMYK.... Read More
